For me each painting is a trip to a world of imagination and expression. To compose such works that transports the viewer to a different place and time is a truly amazing process. 

Each painting is an adventure that keeps changing and evolving, often diverging from the original intended path. Sometimes a painting is essentially finished and yet something is missing; A simple splash of color can completely balance and complete the peice. its like adding a special spice to a recipe that will bring it to another level. This is the point when i can finally sign my work. 

       I believe that in the creative course the artists goal is to reach a maximum harmony of both color-relationship and contour composition. This will divide the forms and hues on the canvas in a flowing manner. There is always a method to the madness. 

       Today my artwork is an influence of classical training combined with a taste of both european and meditrranean flavor. without a strong starting point in classical training from the traditional school, I dont think one can acheive a truly strong peice. Yet there is a way to break from the tradition in a way that translates into pure beauty that speaks to people today. It took me a while to reach this point of aesthetic freedom. In my mind there is no longer a "right way" to paint a picture, as the classical method would have you believe. Rather, it provides the foundation on which you have the tools to build a totally original, delicious creation that can move people deep inside.
